Reading is essential if you decide on piano lessons.

There are a number of great books out there on playing piano.. and about the theory behind music. You must be able to read them.

Oil rig disaster in Gulf of Mexico is, in fact, an attack by the Queen and City of London.

I've been reading Larouche for more than 10 years now. Larouche's thesis is that The City of London is the home base for the international financial cartel that seeks to destroy the nation-state in favor of a depopulated world under it's own control. BP is British Petroleum-- and every step of this oil rig disaster can be shown to be anticipated and planned. The continuing spewing of bigger amounts of oil every day is like an ongoing 9/11 ... which was also a British central bank led attack. More on this here.. [+] Larouche [+]

It's never too late to start.

I'm often asked if it's too late to start to play the piano. Hey-- I think if it's past your bedtime, it's too late. Otherwise, 7 - 9 pm is fine.

See  the Table of Contents below-- and click on Piano topics... for my latest piano playing related ideas... in forum format. I've created a unique system of online presence here that can be applied to anything... and that, in a most powerful way.

PIano lessons should include nuclear power.

If nuclear power is required for the continuance of civilization, and if piano lessons are part of civilization, then shouldn't nuclear power be part of a piano lesson? It's an interesting thought.

HABITS ARE AN ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT FOR PIANO PLAYING. I find that being interested in a new piano topic is essential for playing piano. The more you know about translating all kinds of music to piano music, the greater the possibilities are for shaping habits that lead to playing. See the link below for the piano forum for more...

LEARN TO PLAY A FEW MEASURES OF FAMOUS BIG PIECES.  It always seemed useless to me to learn to play pieces that nobody knows. Instead, its more instructive and fun to play a few measures of pieces that are well known even if they're fairly complex.

There would be no violation of the nuclear test ban treaty, since it covers only above ground tests. Underground tests ended voluntarily in 1992, mostly because they were too expensive, not because of some high minded ideal. ...http://seekingalpha.com/tag/long-ideas

In 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed the documents of ratification for a nuclear test ban treaty with Britain and the Soviet Union. [+

From the fifties to the seventies, the US conducted hundreds of underground tests, which involved drilling a six foot wide hole 1,000 feet deep, filling it with concrete, and then pushing a big red button. To my knowledge, radiation leaked to the surface in only one case, when a bomb was set off near an unmapped geological fault, frying two ranchers. The explosion would create a cavern deep under the surface which would be sealed by the 400 million degree temperatures these weapons create, containing the radiation. I remember walking around some old above ground sites, and the sand had been turned to colorful glass. There would be no violation of the nuclear test ban treaty, since it covers only above ground tests. Underground tests ended voluntarily in 1992, mostly because they were too expensive, not because of some high minded ideal. All of BP’s efforts to date have really been “Hail Mary’s” doomed to failure. The only real chance is to relieve the pressure by drilling several adjacent wells, and that will take months. If BP has discovered the mother of all fields with pressures so enormous, they can’t be controlled with modern technology, a possibility which some geologists admit, then more huge leaks will spring and the nuclear option will be the only one left. In the meantime, if a serious hurricane hits the region, a mathematical probability, then we will see the environmental equivalent of Chernobyl meets Katrina. In this scenario, you can kiss BP goodbye. http://seekingalpha.com/article/208389-is-bp-becoming-a-value-play

Conclusion-- Looks to me as if Larouche is missing the point about the ban on nuclear testing-- which only applies above ground. Still, it might apply to all tests even below ground and the bloggers are not correct. In any case, the details of how underground tests were done.. and the shape charge and size of the exposion needs to be looked at. This will have to be an effort agreed upon internationally. I haven't seek peak oil hoaxers being ridiculed yet-- nor have I seen other supporters of a US oil independence movement come out and point to this as an example of the size of deposits. Larouche isn't fully decided on whether oil is abiotic or not... the Russians don't think it is... there's something else going on. This accident might expose the entire oil industry as perpetrators of the biggest hoax since the Apollo moon landing-- that there is a limited supply of oil. This doesn't mean we're going to use more oil... because the power density isn't good enough anymore--

PIANO LESSONS
(((Why do some songs lend themselves to improvisation more easily than others?))) Th. June 16, 2010.  I've been curious why certain songs can be more fun to improvise on than others. I obviously has to do with chord changes-- but what is it about frequency or kind of chord change that makes it easier and more fun to make a new melody for? I don't know the answer to that.

BP DISASTER
Oil rig Deepwater Horizon leak. Obama's talk from the Oval Office was frivolous. The main thing right now is to stop that oil volcano. Only a nuke will do it.

((( TUNE YOUR PIANO TO A=432 ))) Wed., June 15, 2010.  It turns out that it was the Nazi Josef Geobbels who worked for Hitler who set the new international standard at A=440. Previous to the Nazis, who were the creation of the British, A was lower... around 432. The question becomes--- Do you want Hitler's tuning, or Bach's? [More...]

(((PARTIAL READING MAKES SIGHTREADING EASIER))) June 14, 2010 When reading complex pieces for the first time, don't try to play every note. Look for the critical notes involved in the apparent harmony and try to strike those while keeping the piece moving.

Beethoven sonatas and Youtube.

It's possible now to read a Beethoven sonata as it's being playing, on Youtube. Try it. I'll post a few links here later today.
Don't move your piano by yourself.  It might look easy to move a piano, but in the case of a grand piano-- especially- you're dealing with a situation that requires knowledge of how the weight of the piano affects the legs if you push it in one direction vs. another direction. Consult a piano mover.
Tuning your piano to A=432 would be counter to what Josef Goebbels of Nazi Germany would have wanted. It was Goebbels who set the standard to A=440. Bach's standard, a few hundred years previous, was 432. Whose standard do you want? Bach's? Or the Nazi's? Ask yourself-- why would the Nazi's have set A to 440?
A piano will produce many tones at once, giving you complete control over the harmony whereas a solo instrument like a violin or saxaphone can only give you one tone at a time, negating any ability to create harmony by yourself. This is why every music student, with plans to play any instrument, should get basic piano training. Piano is a master instrument.

Piano lessons vs. music appreciation

It doesn't make any sense to take piano lessons without deciding first, as a student, what kind of music you like. A piano lesson typically preselects music for you based on various characteristics, like level of complexity, numbers of different notes and where the notes are, types of chords and so on. But even big complicated pieces of music can be reduced to a beginner's level. It behooves the student to initiate his or her own interest in what particular music he or she likes to listen to. If there is no taste evolved, as in a youngster, more often than not, then the piano lesson becomes a music appreciatiou course. That used to be the work of parents but a good piano teacher will be able to select CD's and Youtube videos for a student to listen to.

Tune your piano to A = 432 for better sound.

by Rick Potvin.

If you tune your piano to A = 432, you'll "feel" the difference even without knowing anything about music. There is something to this because there are physical demonstrations of resonance patterns created in salt on steel plates vibrating at particular frequencies that do not occur at other frequencies. What's going on with that? You have to wonder. Google A=432 and you'll see a plethora of information about this.

There's always a larger context to everything. Reductionists don't believe in larger contexts but they're part of an historical world wide oligarchical conspiracy to dumb the mass of humanity down. Either that, or they themselves are dupes. This topic too is part of my piano lessons.

Tune your piano to A=432 for better tone quality.

OIL RIG DISASTER - Deepwater Horizon - Micronuke under seabed floor will seal it.
The Russians sealed several out-of-control high pressure deep wells with nukes beginning in 1966. Music (and thus piano lessons) are neccessarily political.

by Rick Potvin

Music does not exist in a vaccum of course. To play "the piano", you must play particular music at any one time. The music you select is neccessarily going to have a political component. It matters whether you choose "Cold Play" or Mozart for example.

Here's a website dealing with the science of music... and you'll see the politics involved instantly. [+]

Looking for songs about the oil rig disaster.

I'll be looking for models for songs about the oil rig disaster... with modelling based on the Edmund Fitgerald and the Beverly Hillbillies... Some combination of a story song like this with the right combination of political edge and sadness... The performance venue would be Youtube at this time, although certain types of clubs-- I've ruled out the Duelling Piano bars--- which are obscene and rediculous... would be good.

Google is fantastic, isn't it? As far as piano lessons go, you can google anything-- just you can in anything else on earth. So... other than for the fact that CIA controls Google, it's pretty good.
