Online piano lessons present a myriad of problems not yet solved.

I still do not believe online lessons work very well. There are particular features of lessons-- of explaining how music works-- that are not dealt with on any online lesson sites I've seen. The idea of the integrated approach is not done anywhere I've seen... even in print. I'll look forward to developing a semblance of what I think would work here in this blog over coming months.

GOPIANO.com free online lessons look promising.

Here's page 1 of the GOPiano.com series that allows you to get started on the basics right away. I'm not sure how young ages would handle this but I'm confident that the average 8 year old should be able to. Certainly teens, and onward through adulthood should. I'm very interested in older people's learning skills too but there are new elements involved in later years that I'll add along the way... such as food supplements to keep the brain quick and agile... The younger person has less problem with memory and speed but more challenge with discipline, stick-to-it-iveness... and focus.
