Alan, Isant and Nate George on the Sam Ash Stage--

Here are students who are engaging themselves in MUSIC using the piano and voice-- on a digital piano and a portable keyboard... Alan, Isant and Nate will KNOW what music "is"-- which will ENHANCE their NEURAL NETWORKS--- the connections in their brains that form young and vibrant minds. What are YOUR children doing? Texting? Chatting on a Smartphone? Music is a UNIVERSAL langauge that informs all other skills. If you're in Phoenix, call us at (602) 371-0094 to bootstrap your own children into the higher dimension of music.

This weekend's LISTENING LESSON for all students-- Canon in D Variations by George Winston

I have a few versions for students this weekend. We'll find the one best for you. In the meantime, your REQUIRED LISTENING LESSON for tonite... or Friday before lessons on the weekend is to listen to George Winston's really nice variations on Pachelbel's them. Canon in D. Don't tell me you did not listen to this-- or we'll take your valuable lesson time to do it. Use the internet what it's meant for-- education yourself with guidance from experts like me.

Automatic piano patterns in left hand lend fun, authenticity and learning to songs.

Many of today's automatic piano keyboards have automatic left hand rhythm styles that use ONLY the piano sound in the TRADITIONAL musical patterns for the left hand. These patterns can be complex and tricky and can take years to learn and play in an accomplished way. By using automated versions of these patters, experienced players like me can learn and listen to new left hand pattern arrangements and novices can use them to do that too as well as have a lot more fun playing their songs in an authentic realistic sounding way. Here I play several tunes on such an automatic keyboard, the Yamaha E433 available online and at Sam Ash for around $300.

I'll convert this Norwegian piano piece to synthesizer.

Here's a majestic sounding Norwegian composition by "Per Lasson" that I think would sound great if converted to a type of synth orchestration on a keyboard or piano ensemble. I'll try to do that over coming days to demonstrate.
