Piano in Iran would cease if bombed.
Isreal and the US NEOCONS and John McCain ought to be arrested for considering bombing Iran. Let Iran have nuclear power and become a regional power. We have enough to worry about in North America.

Children receiving piano awards in Saudi Arabia.
Riahd, Saudi Arabia
All over the world, parents stand proudly by their children who recieve awards for playing the piano. When YOU take piano lessons, you're joining a large group of people with common interest in making music and listening to music using the piano as their main instrument. Here is the Saudi Arabia awards ceremony. [12 min]
Prince Bandhar of Saudi Arabia financed a British Company BAE systems to execute the 9/11 attacks against the WTC in 2001. And many of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. Most of them are still alive because planes did not fly into the buildings. The little children of Saudi Arabia should know these facts and begin to read Larouche at an early age. Saudi Arabia is currently acting under British orders to help attack Iran in a nuclear world war III. Isn't that nice for the children? No! I do not think so. What would they do with their piano awards in a nuclear war holocaust? The pianos would not play! The children would be dying of radiation and starvation! STOP the Saudi Arabia government from supporting an Israeli attack on Iran!
Young lady plays open air street piano in Times Square.
12th Street Rag in Times Square, NY. [+] Strange but true.
Here's a guy playing at a bar in the Yukon Territory of Canada.
You can hear the pool table in the background. [2 min]
What's interesting here is the the old upright piano is a typcial old out of tune beat up piano. yet the guy does a good job on it. It's his only youtube upload. You can see the saollon door to the right.

I had a request for TAXI theme.
Here's the intro to the TAXI show... by Bob James. [+]
I've heard Bob James before and might have some old cassette tapes around from listening to him in the 1980's. It's a smooth jazz style and I don't have the piano music for it so I'm going to have to do some work... figuring it out or ordering it online.
Here's a straight electric piano "cover" or version of it. [+] This will give us a better idea of how to proceed, although I'll be doing it on straight grand piano. It's too short as it stands so it's going to have to be improvised on to lengthen it.

Someone Like You
by Rick
This past weekend, a pretty waitress at GeeBee's (Golden Buddha's) requested "Someone Like You". Of course I didn't know it. I don't know anything past 1979. Not really. But almost. I don't work hard enough to learn enough tunes as part of me thinks I ought to. Anyway, she was pretty enough, I thought I'd take a crack at it. Here are dumb lyrics... lyrics which say to me that the girl singer is goin' after some married dude and won't leave him alone. Man-- don't those women ever learn? Anyway, here it is.
"Someone Like You"
I heard that you're settled down
That you found a girl and you're married now.
I heard that your dreams came true.
Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you.
Old friend, why are you so shy?
Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light.
I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over.
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
Don't forget me, I beg
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead,
Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead, "
Yeah
You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised
In a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days
I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.
I'd hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over.
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
Don't forget me, I beg
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead."
Yeah
Nothing compares
No worries or cares
Regrets and mistakes
They are memories made.
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you
Don't forget me, I beg
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead."
Never mind, I'll find someone like you

"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead,

Yeah

The chord changes are pretty simple but since I don't know the melody, I'll have to run through it a few times to get it... I don't want to have buy the sheet music which is usually five stinkin bucks on the net. I will if I have to, though, just to impress the waitress. Boy I'm an idiot.
Here are two young women doing it, one on piano. note how the piano is "mic'd". The piano player is playing an octiave too high. In fact the singer is too high as well. [+]
Forget the videos and instead-- listen to the piano part while the lyrics are on screen, kareoke style. [+] That doesn't really tell you much about the meloday however.
Here's doll faced young woman just singing it. [+] She's not a trained singer but not bad as a good amateur. She reminds me of a girl I was seeing one time in Owen Sound Ontario, Julie. I never realized Julie wanted to talk to me until ten years after I had left town and played an old answering machine tape for the first time since leaving. I got a message from her that I had never played. She wondered where I had gone. It was spooky.
Why are all these young women singing this song? Here's a pretty young lady whose voice is a bit throatier. I don't think she's playing the piano but she could be. The long brown hair is nice, and her teeth are good. [+.
Here's the Van Morrison song by the same name. It's a better song. It has a beginning, a bridge and an instrumental. This is how songs used to be done. [+] And he's not after a married woman either, making threats that he's gotta see her.
I guess this is the original version by Adelle, or the "official version". [+] I don't think she looks or sounds very good.
