Happy 90th Birthday Dorothy!...
A fave concert of mine she/we did in 2017 at her 82

I say she/we because Dorothy did most of piano playing but I facilitated the thing with setup, tear down, invoicing, driving and general work. It was a Sonny and Cher type thing. I even had sunglasses for her in the car as I would drive to and from with my own sunglasses. Like Batman and Robin: A musician team/couple duo that  drove around the Phoenix "Valley of the Sun" on freeways to get to the gig on time. Nothing made her happier than a paid gig-- no volunteer stuff for her. It was money in the bank with gigs and lessons... all I often did was facilitate, fabricate and finish. I was the framework for her fenomenon. And a phenomenon she was. Here's a 30 minute MP3 where the video failed on me, due the old CanonZ40 I used but still had good dual stereo mics working, with video illustration below. This MP3 30 min. audio is a prime example of what I facilitated her into doing from 2005 to 2012... and beyond from 2017 at age 82 for her, 60 for me.  MP3 hotlink on archive.org / 30 minutes

Pre-covid Pre-AI world... in 2017... what it used to be like in Phoenix for me and Dorothy. That’s now many years ago, but for me it’s still very real. How does the human mind work to make the past seem like reality right now? How weird is that? Thanks to everyone I've had supportive feedback from for the past 3 months... Happy Afterlife 90th Birthday, Dorothy, for April 29, 2025! I trust your soul sees & enjoys my replay & promo of you here, still in concert, via electronics
. See you 'up there' in good time, later. We'll do this again, I'm sure.

She has this entire set memorized at time of playing... quite incredible actually. She would write the list of songs down by title and play off that whereas I would NEVER ever ever ever ever be in front of an audience without music on a printed page. To be honest,  she DID have her memorized sets down for years and years... but still... watching her play for four hours a night seven nights a week for seven years with no music in front of her impressed me. She kind of reminded me of the Energizer Bunny... a bit... set her up, & let 'er go. Now as I reflect on her  playing I realized she must be internalizing each song the way I myself did when I played. Just because I was with her for 30 years doesn't mean I neccessarily know her.... a paradox.
