A Home Studio Recreation of a Typical Golden Buddha 2005-2012 Set @ 70-77
by Dorothy Motto in 2013 @78 as an online audition for new gig @ Mekong Plaza Restaurant

Mekong Plaza Restaurant here in Phoenix had a phenomenal stage for presentations by various Chinese performers during various celebrations that we were invited to by our Chinese piano students. Even though we pitched our program to the management, we did not get a regular gig but we did end up playing for their Chinese New Years celebrations. This is the online pitch I recorded of Dorothy which mirrors a typical 20 minute set at Golden Buddha Chinese Restaurant where we played for six years for seven nights a week.

Dorothy is playing on our Casio PX555R PRIVIA which was our workhorse for most of our gigs, a a unit that continue to use in the my studio today as my preferred instrument. It's a little bit heavier and awkward to move than stage pianos available later but during 2012 to 2020, it did a terrific job for us.
