Glen on the left and Jimmy Webb on the right... Who is the greater of the two? I would say Jimmy Webb the composer of the lyrics and the song-- the melody and chords. I'll analyse the chords for you in coming days and you'll see what I mean. I think the song writers and lyricists aren't paid enough attention in general. Sure Glen delivered the song in a way that was timeless and hit the mark for generations-- but without the prolific Jimmy Web, performers have nothing to go on.
