Can audio recordings synchronize brainwave states and lower the brainwave frequency into the alpha zone for instant meditation? I've been playing with these types of recordings for years and have been quite fascinated with the effects of some of the good ones. I started using them around 2007. You need to wear headphones when using them because a slightly different frequency goes into each ear, called binaural beats, and the brain tries to "make sense" of that by making up for the difference--in the following case about 5 hertz. I've been thinking about applications of this for children too so that they might be able to focus for longer periods of time.
Try the following one out... just as an experiment. Remember, use headphones and close your eyes. It's "instant meditation" that in the past took years to accomplish. If you don't get any effect, that's normal since the best ones are not "digitally compressed" and cost a few dollars from online sources. Still, it's a sample. Try a few from the following playlist and let me know what you think by posting in comments below. For me, it's the "future" of music and the ultimate "music therapy".
