Rick and Dorothy performed the piano-keyboard shows in and around Phoenix, Arizona from 2012 to 2019. Their unique duet featured one of them on 88-key piano while the other managed the bass, percussion & lead solo instruments on a portable keyboard ensemble. Vocals & singalongs were often part of the show. Dorothy plays Bye Bye Blues with authentic banjo style on Yamaha E433.
Instrumental voices on keyboards require different styling techniques to imitate the original acoustic instrument. Here we see Dorothy do Bye Bye Blues using a Dixie style and and authentic banjo strum in the right hand.
