Temporary Yahoo workaround video uses same chords as Smoke on the Water.

A common rock progression is I - bIII - IV as heard in Smoke on the Water. I'll skip the original version this morning and we'll look at this 1 1/2 min 4-hand piano version which is accurate enough for my purpose right now.If you're reading this in your email, click on the title above or the "posted by Rick to PianoLessonsEtc.com" line at the bottom to view the video

Now here's the video where I found the work around-- however temporary it may be-- for the Yahoo email disaster. If you're reading this in your email, click on the title above or the "posted by Rick to PianoLessonsEtc.com" line at the bottom to view the video.

Whoever composed the electronic music for the video demonstrating the workaround-- which ALMOST works-- (you have to drop the end of it off and use it as follows-- http://cg42.c6.mail.bf1.yahoo.com/neo/b/launch -- then log in)-- KNEW what they were doing musically-- which is in fact, I - bIII - IV - I then bVII - I. This is a better original soundtrack composition than a lot of the Youtube video soundtracks which are insufferable and incoherent, musically speaking. The reason for the musical incoherence on Youtube videos is due to the fact that most people are musically illiterate and simply use sound composition programs to throw anything together that they think sounds good. The above video demonstrates that it's worth knowing coherent chords. It's interetsing to note that the above coherent music video was the only place I found a workaround for the Yahoo email disaster that worked, after looking at a dozen different offered solutions. See yesterday's blog post for my first thought on this-- as it relates to music and piano playing.

More discussion on this....
YAHOO destroyed their email-- I'll likely check in weekly instead of daily
